Bachelorette Party Costs?

Budgeting for a bachelorette party is a important factor to consider when planning. Most bachelorettes and their friends are already spending thousands of dollars on their wedding preps. They do not have unlimited budgets.  Disagreements in most bachelorette planning parties are often times due to costs. Weddings become expensive, not just for the bride and groom but for the whole bridal party as well! When you factor in the engagement gifts, bridal shower, bridesmaid dress, wedding – you’re looking at a minimum of $1000!

One thing to keep in mind that each person is different and they will have different comfort level for spending. On average, bachelorette parties cost each person about $75 for a night out but this does not include gifts. Destination travel packages are at least $1000 for a weekend package exclusive of food and drink! However, we recommend going to an all inclusive resort in order to save! It’s up to the Maid of Honor to plan a trip that falls within everyone’s budget which is why we hope our tips will be helpful.

10-Steps to the Ultimate Bachelorette Party

After taking a read at the before the party above and going through the questions and things to ponder, dig in and take a look at the 10 steps below.

1. What does the Bride Want?

When planning the bachelorette party, there is so much to think about and so much to do! The planning of the bachelorette party is usually left up to the Maid of Honor and we know the pressure that comes with that! However, you are the person that she trusts, her biggest supporter and friend to make her second best night of her life an unforgettable one!  It’s important to approach this party from the perspective that this is not your party. This is her party!

2. Choose the Theme

Here is where you get creative – what will be the theme of the party? Only include people that you know the bachelorette gets along with. You don’t want to plan something knowing that she will hate it! If you and the girls decide to wear the same dress or color theme, make that well known in advance! Remember that the bride has to stand out and we have the products to make sure that she does!  You can make her outfit flashy as well! Don’t forget to bring a pair of flip flops as a night in heels can get very tiring!

3. Prepare the Guestlist

If you read above, you have to consider who will come on the guest list. What is the maturity level of the people that you’re inviting? Does it go with the theme of the bachelorette party? Discuss with the bachelorette on if she is looking for a night/weekend getaway. What about a week getaway? Try to keep it below 10 because the bigger the group, the harder to please as we noted above. Decide on a date, an ideal time would be a couple weeks before the big day as you don’t want the bride to be hungover on her wedding day! Prepare the invitations (if needed) for the guests, you may opt to send out e-invites to save cost and time!

4. Budget

It’s important to have a rough budget and plan something within everyone’s budget. Some might not be able to afford such a lavish party while others may want to have something extravagant. Estimate a rough cost on how much the party is going to ask per person before asking the guests to commit. For example, a bachelorette party to Los Cabon San Lucas can run for $1000+ per person. Not everyone will be able to attend but it would be nice! Keep in mind that this party will be for the bachelorette! She could not have to contribute any money to this because after all, it comes once a lifetime, spoil her!

5. Make necessary reservations!

If you’re planning a night out, don’t forget your reservations! Restaurants fill up quickly. Talk to the restaurant ahead of time and see if they could prepare a special menu for your entourage as this will make the bachelorette feel extra special and she will sure to love it. If you’re planning a getaway, book your hotels and flights in advance to cut costs. Best idea to go to an all inclusive as you don’t have to worry about hiring a taxi. However, if you’re planning to go out of the hotels, don’t forget to hire a van or taxi to chauffeur you girls around! You have to make sure the bride is returned safely!

6. Plan Out Fun and Games

A bachelorette party is not done until you have a dare-to-do checklist or card games for the soon-to-be bachelorette! The question is – will she fulfill them? Check out our games section to find some fun and interesting games! If you’re planning on sending her on a scavenger hunt, be sure to make the hunt as mischievous as possible!

7. Buy Party Accessories

Whether it’s a tiara, veil or sash for the bride, whatever the props may be, let her know that she’s going to have it on throughout the night! Don’t forget the decorations for the hotel room if you if you plan on having a sleepover or a weekend getaway. If you think your bride is into fun-shaped penis straws, throw that in for her and the girls too! If it fits the budget, prepare a party pack filled with fun favors for the girls!

8. Tell the Bride a Day Before

Let your bachelorette know the rough itinerary for the night or weekend. Not everything has to be kept a secret but the more she doesn’t know the better, especially if your bachelorette party is a mischievous one. Don’t tell her about the male strippers! Everything should come as a bit of a surprise

9. Bring the Groom!

If possible, get her soon to be husband to surprise her with flowers or champagne before heading out for the night. If you’re planning to travel, tell him to come to the airport or ask him to re-arrange with the hotel ahead of time to leave a special note or bottles in the room! The bride will be happy knowing her soon-to-be hubby is thinking of her and she will feel really special!

10. Surprise Her So She Will Never Forget!

Perphaps you may want to blindfold her and not tell her where she is headed for the night. Perhaps you want to bring her blindfolded to the airport thinking that she is going to a restaurant downtown. This works best with night flights. What ever it is, make it extra special so she will never forget this special night or week. A guestbook is recommended so all the girls write a special note!
